The Most Common Bed Bug Symptoms

If you suspect that you may have bed bugs, it is important to know the symptoms. These tiny blood suckers can make your life miserable.

To determine if you have them, the first step is to identify them. Parasite inspectors, like me, look for certain signs when searching for them. Let's take a moment to learn how to recognize the most common signs.

First, let's identify how often we get bitten. Do you get bit once a week or multiple times a night? We would love to talk to you if you were bit once or twice. Most likely, you don't have bed bugs. You could have been bitten by a spider. There is no need to worry.

There is a good chance you have an infestation if you get bit every night while you're sleeping. When the bugs find you, they will know where to go for dinner every night. 

They will eventually bring all their friends along! The bed bugs sense carbon dioxide that you exhale as you sleep at night. When you sleep, you exhale more carbon dioxide and the bed bugs can sense where your dinner is. Your body is stuffed with bites when you wake up in the morning.

They might not be apparent during the day. You may not notice any symptoms in the initial stages of an infestation. They are most likely to hide behind walls and under carpets, or under floors or other areas where they cannot be seen. It becomes more difficult to spot signs of infestation as the infestation progresses.
